To enemies, with love!!

Doing absolutely nothing is a difficult task. I realized this after my final semester exams got over. I stayed in hostel for four years, which gave me tons of memories to cherish this lifetime. Vacating this wonderful place and sitting at home awaiting results set me up a date with boredom. All I could do is cherish the college (read hostel) days. Think about them again and again. We play them on our head, sometimes pause, rewind, forward, rewind again etc. Some moments are worth playing again and again, while some are worth skipping. However hard we try to move such bad memories to recycle bin, it keeps restoring to our mind over and over. But that is not the point. My aim is to discuss about people linked with such instants. In some case, you call them- "enemies".
In my existence of over two decades, I have made some extremely wonderful friends. Friends, I am uncertain whether will be with me whenever I need them, but I know they will try their best for that. I could not be more grateful to God. There are other set of people for whom I am thankful as well. As the title of the post goes, it’s my ‘enemies’. Yes, I thank the lord for making them choose me and vice versa. I had had great experience dealing with them. They taught me many valuable lessons.
When someone you thought would never hurt you does the opposite, the pain is unbearable. But at the end, it leaves you with a very good moral- "do not trust anyone blindly". There are two options- either it will shatter you within or make you more careful and bold next time. Choice is yours.
I developed special skills handling my foes. Skills such as good judgment, do not care attitude, being bold and most importantly- "to forgive". Somebody once said “forgiveness is that flower which when you crush, gives out a pleasant smell”. People make mistakes, it is their birthright. Who are we to punish them? Forgiving someone (once or twice maximum) does not make one weak or smaller, but the one you forgave will be tormented with guilt. It is a great feeling when someone hurts you; you still forgive and walk away with your head held high. I have tasted that feeling and let me tell you, it is awesome! Anyway it is better than keeping a grudge. Haters will hate, it is not going to change anything to better. Get a good heart for yourself and stay happy. If the other person still cannot appreciate your good heart, it is their fault. Either they do not have the guts to accept their wrongdoings or they lack minimum decency. Either way, you are the winner.

But be aware that "too good is bad". Letting off way too much will also make you vulnerable. Never forget the limits. Nearly all the things in the world come with terms and conditions. Some individuals do not deserve your pity. If they cannot value your courtesy, let them suffer alone. You can be proud of your good deeds.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all my enemies/haters for making me a better person. God bless you all!! Let me conclude by quoting a verse from Bhagwath Gita – “Whatever has happened, happened for the good, whatever is happening is for the good and whatever will happen in future, will be for good.
